Roman & Williams

The Roman and Williams' 4,000 sq. ft. New York offices are noteworthy in and of themselves as a stand-alone design. This open work environment is replete with walnut shelving and wainscoting, blackened-steel wall panels adorned with inspiration collages, and a custom glass-and-steel office system to create private office spaces. Large wooden factory tables turned into front doors initiate visitors and clients into an experience which breeds inspiration and creativity and embodies the company's ethos of craftsmanship and materiality.

Roman & Williams is the partnership behind the New York outposts of both the Ace Hotel and the Standard (they also overhauled the Royalton Hotel lobby not long ago). The design duo (Robin Standefer and Stephen Alesch) lives and works in this lower Manhattan loft. We like the slightly disheveled, curio-shop vibe.
